1.What is this Privacy Policy?

This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about how SIGFOX treats Personal Data it collects from you. SIGFOX may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any reference to “you” or “your” means you as a user of one of the websites of SIGFOX.

This Privacy Policy applies to the use of all the websites of SIGFOX and does not extend to any linked third party sites. Personal Data has the meaning given in the REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In order to access some content and/or additional features offered by some websites of SIGFOX, you may need to register as a Member. While creating an account and your profile (and/or updating your account and your profile), or when sending a request to Sigfox, we may receive Personal Data about you. This may consist of information such as your last name, your first name, the name of your company you work for, your position within this company, your (business) email, your (business) number phone, as well as information collected about your use of such website of SIGFOX. SIGFOX also receives, stores and processes Personal Data that you make available to SIGFOX when accessing or using the website of SIGFOX. Please note that SIGFOX will never ask you to provide sensitive Personal Data.

  • 2.2 Log Data

SIGFOX may also receive, store and process log data, which is information that is automatically recorded whenever you access or use our website, regardless of whether you are a registered user or logged in to your account, such as your IP Address, the date and time you access or use our website, the hardware and software you are using, referring and exit pages and URLs, the number of clicks, pages viewed and the order of those pages, and the amount of time spent on particular pages.

 

3. How does SIGFOX use and process the Personal Data it collects about me?

SIGFOX will always use and process your Personal Data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and more generally in accordance with applicable law. SIGFOX will use your Personal Data for a number of defined purposes including the following:

  • To enable you to access and to use our websites;
  • To provide you with the services offered by our websites;
  • To deal with your requests and enquiries.

Depending on the situations, Sigfox always collects and processes your Personal Data according to:

  • Your/it legitimate interest to perform an action requested by you (as described above);
  • Your consent;
  • The performance of an agreement between you and Sigfox.

 

4. How SIGFOX uses and processes users communications?

Sigfox ensures that it process only the necessary Personal Data it needs to execute the aim of the processing. Personal Data is only accessible to internal recipients who need to know (members of the concerned Departments handling the processing and the execution of the concerned tasks ; the data protection officer).

Sigfox implements physical, technical and administrative security standards that Sigfox considers reasonable to protect your Personal Data against any loss, misuse, alteration, destruction or damage.

 

5. Does SIGFOX share my Personal Data with third party?

SIGFOX will keep your information confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies) or as described and/or expressly agreed in a specific notice.

Sigfox will not transfer your personal data except as specifically described in specific notices and/or expressly agreed when required by GDPR.

 

6. How long does SIGFOX keep my Personal Data?

SIGFOX holds your Personal Data for as long as is necessary for your activity on our websites or as long as the service provided by SIGFOX through the website of SIGFOX is still executed under any relevant contract you hold with SIGFOX. If you stop using our websites or if your account is cancelled, your Personal Data Personal Data can stay on the system for a period up to one year for administration purposes before being deleted or anonymized.

For example, business contacts are kept for a duration of two (2) years from the subscription date or the end of the agreement (when the Personal Data is collected in the framework of an agreement).

For all other Personal Data, specific durations can be precised in adapted Personal Data notifications.

 

7. How can I find out what Personal Data SIGFOX holds about me?

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, to correct, delete personal data on our files.
